HAMHUM Character Design and Mixed Media Exhibition 9/2/2012 - 6/4/2012

HAM HUM was a character design exhibition of an absurd food chain.The exhibition was held at Lucca, one of the popular restaurant-bars in İstanbul in 2012. All the characters were hand sewn, Other than 3D characters, the exhibition also included framed 2D pieces made out of fabric. The characters were designed to be separate pieces and form a certain composition which was seven meters in width. Although the pieces were meant to be sold separate, the whole composition was bought by a single art collector.

Tassel Hassle, The Spagat Trio and Headleg... These three art pieces consist of one character set (The Spagat Trio) and two other distinct characters (Tassel Hassle and Headleg) Located at different parts of the museum, the characters are all related to each other by the materials used, design characteristics and stories. The names refer to design details and the characters’ personalities.

Cubecity (Küpşehir) Character Design Exhibition 13/1/ 2010 - 26/2/2010

Opened in January 2010, Cubecity (Küpşehir) was the first character design exhibition in İstanbul. The main concept was built upon cubical forms, reflecting different aspects of the city. The bilingual typographic design was used as a logo for the exhibition and carried out the same cubic design concept. Hand sewn characters were created by collages from various Istanbul photo details. Exhibition venue was integrated into the designs by photo details as well. Canvas, transfer prints, reused fabrics, fibre filling and digital prints were among the materials used to create this cubical, miniature city.
